Breath

It's nice that we don't have to think about breathing. Not even during intense exertion, because the body naturally asks for more oxygen then. When tension and stress arise, the body also calls for more and deeper breaths; however, the efficiency of oxygen exchange quickly declines. The lung capacity is not being utilized sufficiently. We start to breathe 'high' and fast, with the risk of hyperventilating. Or fainting, which means the body forces itself to restore breathing.
A part of conscious walking is paying attention to breathing. Good and refreshing breathing is not only important for providing oxygen to the body and brain. Controlled and proper breathing also results in a lower heart rate, relaxation, and calm. Even during light to moderate physical exertion, good breathing yields greater advantages and performance.
Consciously working on breathing with simple exercises is the foundation for improving fitness and relaxation. You have more energy.
Breathe in, breathe out.
