In this awareness, you will find various programs and products here, ranging from simple activities like walking together to mindful guidance for restoring your self-confidence and regaining your energy.

 

Group walks with a plus. 

Speciaal voor de 55+ groep, voor de onervaren of her-beginners tot aan wandelingen voor echte hikers. Altijd in een zorgeloze en ontspannen setting, waar altijd een extraatje wordt aangeboden door Slowtraveler. Ontmoet anderen in gelijkaardige omstandigheden, wissel ervaringen uit en maak kennis met mogelijk nieuwe vrienden.

The power of experience to make movement more attractive and especially easier

Programs that go a step further and want to provide support to people to find perspective for themselves. 'Walking' is the ideal initiative for more and varied movement. Expectations have been set from the community, healthcare, and government, but solutions have also been offered. The benefits (health and preventive effects) of movement are well known, yet figures from the CBS show that percentages fall short of the expectations set by the government’s exercise guidelines in 2017.

Return to the basics of self-confidence and energy. 

Taking an extra step through walking also helps to regain self-confidence. Program that take you by the hand, guide you to more energy and vitality. A more stable version of yourself, while working on your overall health and resilience with the support of a certified coach. Click here.

Walking
with a
Plus

Walking with Slowtraveler Host, in nature, relaxing and fun.

 

3 Different types of trails;

  1. Short, for beginners or people restarting with walking

    Length and Duration: about 5km, 1,5 hr

  2. Long, for experienced walkers, mainly over (un)paved path, small slope percentages

    Length and Duration: about 12km, 3 hr

  3. de Luxe, for hikers, (un)paved and natural paths, multiple and more slope percentages

    Length and Duration: about 20km, 5 hr

 

Feel free  to take along a familymember/friend/buddie/..., together is more fun. Also meet other people for a nice chat or exchange of experiences :-)

All walks with a Plus from Slowtraveler are provided with a drink (before or after) or lunch (during de Luxe walk), see the relevant program.

Walk of about 5 km mainly on paved paths. 

Extremely suitable for inexperienced walkers or those looking to get back into walking. 
Feel free to bring someone along. 

Coffee/tea afterwards and some pleasant chatting, provided by Slowtraveler.

Walk of about 20km over (un)paved and natural paths.

For the hikers.

Walking with a Plus

Make fun and meet new walking buddies.

On a walking tour with a little extra;

  • be prepared for the weather: dry, warm, wet, or cold (tip: layers and rain gear)

  • good hiking shoes

  • be able to walk independently

  • ensure sufficient food and drink during the walk

  • trekking poles (not Nordic Walking) or hiking sticks are allowed

  • number of participants limited to 20

  • the Extra! option for the tours applies to participation regardless of the (previous) location

  • the drinks/lunch offered at the session by Slowtraveler are provided by third parties, whose rules and conditions also apply

Conditions for walking with a plus;

  • Cancellation of participation with a refund of the deposit up to a maximum of 24 hours before the start of the session.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of the session or failure to show up will not result in a refund or compensation for costs, except for matters falling under Force Majeure (see Civil Code article 6:75).

  • Participation and walking are at your own risk.

  • Always follow the instructions of the Host.

  • Notify in advance of any medication use or medical conditions that may affect the (duration of the) walk.

  • Theft, loss, or (personal) damage not directly caused by the Host or Slowtraveler cannot be claimed from the organization.

  • The walking tours are subject to the effort obligation of Slowtraveler.

  • In case of Code Yellow or Red or after a risk assessment by Slowtraveler, a session will be postponed. Cancellation is then possible with a full refund of the deposit.
