Walking is primarily about experiencing pleasure and enjoying the (changing) surroundings and company. If you find it challenging to keep up, experience discomfort after a walk, haven’t been able to move sufficiently for a while, or have been advised to improve your fitness, Walk+ offers you the opportunity to make walking (again) a pleasant experience in a relaxed manner, whilst working on your overall fitness.

During the walks, exercises tailored to your abilities will be offered to address not only your fitness but also your physical strength, balance, and concentration. The walks can be done individually or in a group format. The Calendar lists dates and locations for which you can register.
If you wish to join multiple times, discounts are available for subsequent participations.

The walks last about 1.5 hours, and after the walk, a cup of coffee or tea will be offered by Slowtraveler, allowing for some enjoyable chatting afterward. Walks always take place unless a Code Yellow or Code Red has been issued. A risk assessment by the host may also apply. In such cases, an alternative date will be offered.

The condition for participation is that you can walk independently (without aids). Note: Trekking poles or walking sticks (not Nordic Walking) are allowed! Feel free to bring along a family member/friend/walking buddy/etc., as it is much more fun together.

Participation fee first time: €25,00

Extra! Participation fee next times: €20,00

Upon email confirmation of participation by Slowtraveler, it is also requested to transfer the participation fee.

Walk Plus

Feet down to Earth - Fitness, muscle strength, bone strengthening.

Rules and conditions - TrW101-concept

Rules at a walk plus;

  • be prepared for the weather: dry, warm, wet, or cold (tip: layers and rain gear)

  • good hiking shoes

  • be able to walk independently

  • ensure sufficient food and drink during the walk

  • trekking poles (not Nordic Walking) or hiking sticks are allowed

  • number of participants limited to 20

  • the Extra! option for the tours applies to participation regardless of the (previous) location

  • the drinks/lunch offered at the session by Slowtraveler are provided by third parties, whose rules and conditions also apply

Conditions for walking plus;

  • Cancellation of participation with a refund of the deposit up to a maximum of 24 hours before the start of the session.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of the session or failure to show up will not result in a refund or compensation for costs, except for matters falling under Force Majeure (see Civil Code article 6:75).

  • Participation and walking are at your own risk.

  • Always follow the instructions of the Host.

  • Notify in advance of any medication use or medical conditions that may affect the (duration of the) walk.

  • Theft, loss, or (personal) damage not directly caused by the Host or Slowtraveler cannot be claimed from the organization.

  • The walking tours are subject to the effort obligation of Slowtraveler.

  • In case of Code Yellow or Red or after a risk assessment by Slowtraveler, a session will be postponed. Cancellation is then possible with a full refund of the deposit.
